Château Haut-Bailly
patron of honor
Château Haut-Bailly, patron of honor, has been supporting and advancing the work of the madd since 2014.
Just south of Bordeaux, Château Haut-Bailly has reigned over a vineyard spanning 30 hectares (75 acres) for more than four centuries. This grand cru classé of the Graves region is endowed with a unique terroir that gives its wines great elegance of character and an exceptionally even quality from year to year. Designated an Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company, or EPV), Haut-Bailly belongs to the elite circle of France’s artisans of excellence, guardians of sophisticated know-how that also include the houses of Hermès, Chanel, Bollinger…
Having sponsored the Opéra National de Bordeaux for a number of years, Château Haut-Bailly decided in 2014 to expand the scope of its cultural collaborations to include the Musée des Arts Décoratifs et du Design, the Musée des Beaux-Arts and the CAPC contemporary art museum.
In addition to the sculpture 236,5° ARC x 4 by Bernar Venet, which has become an iconic feature of the estate’s main courtyard, visitors to Château Haut-Bailly can admire the artwork Playtime by Stéphane Magnin (on loan from the CAPC).
