Faites partie du madd-bordeaux
The organization Amis du Musée des Arts Décoratifs et du Design (Friends of the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design) was founded to assist in the development and promotion of the madd’s activities. Every year, thanks to the devotion of its members and generosity of its donors, it enables the acquisition of major works, the hosting of events that highlight the decorative arts and design, and the publication of catalogues that bear witness to the work invested into each exhibition.
Acquisitions
The museum’s collection, as a whole, is estimated to include 35,000 works of various kinds: furniture, ceramics, glassware and prints, plus the archives, as well as antique books and weapons.
The origins of the collection are many, but it has been compiled primarily through the generosity of donors. Note that a gift to the museum can qualify the donor for a tax deduction > see the page on making a donation.
