Exhibition "Pauline Deltour, an apparent simplicity"
A rising star in the world of design, Pauline Deltour has designed and produced no fewer than 180 objects in just 10 years. The young designer, who founded her own studio in 2010, quickly made a name for herself with her first project, simple wire baskets produced by the famous Italian brand Alessi. She then went on to collaborate on a wide range of projects in very diverse fields and production contexts, from an ultra-mobile stool for COR to the Etreintes ring with its intertwined curves for JEM, and a state-of-the-art connected bicycle for La Poste. With hundreds of drawings, photographs and models, the archives kept by the Pauline Deltour studio provide insight into her approach to projects and her working methods, inherited from four years spent in Munich alongside designer Konstantin Grcic. Pauline Deltour stands out for her keen interest in materials, processes and manufacturing tools, which she observes closely, transforming technical constraints into assets for the success of a project. The exhibition will highlight the diversity of the studio's projects and the richness of her career, which has led her to work with artisans in Japan, Italy, Colombia and the United States. A large number of objects and pieces of furniture, some still in production and others specially produced for the exhibition, will give visitors a tangible understanding of the projects. A monographic book will be published to accompany the exhibition, with contributions from the exhibition curators, Anna Bernagozzi, Jonathan Olivares and Cloé Pitiot.
